The Kwan Slider These six (6) kwan slider flies are my original take on these mainstay redfish, flats and marsh patterns to imitate shrimp, mud minnows or other bait. All six are tied on Umpqua saltwater series size 2 hooks. All six feature rust colored craft fur crown​/​head section with brown barring. Three have orange-clear sili legs, collar made from natural brown hackle and body made with root beer palmer chenille, weighted with small fluorescent orange dumbbell eyes and finished with tan thread. Three have sand-clear legs, purple hackle collar and purple palmer chenille body weighted with red-black eyes and finished with rust brown thread. The Kwan Slider is my shrimpiest attempt at the classic kwan and slider patterns. The added flash creates the excitement of fleeing or injured prey. The flies are designed for inshore fly fishing and are deadly for redfish, sheepshead, black drum, striped bass, speckled trout, flounder, snook, tarpon and all saltwater and brackish water predators.
