I Made a Sale - Now What?
Congrats on making a sale!
Here’s the exact steps to take when an order comes in to get paid quickly and ensure a postive experience for the customer.
1. Check Your Order Details
You’ll receive a email when an order is placed.
This will include the following info:
- Product ordered
- Quantity
- Shipping address
- Any notes from the buyer
2. Accept the Order
You will now need to navigate to your Orders section on the seller dashboard and see the order. From here you will click "View"
You will then be taken to the order details screen where you can Accept or Reject the order. This function allows sellers to provide an immediate refund for customers if they are out of stock on an item. Once you click "Accept" the customer will receive an email that the order has been accepted.

3. Ship the Order
Once the order is prepared, use your preferred shipping method and keep the tracking number.
4. Mark the Order as Fulfilled
Once shipped, navigate back to the seller dashboard to the order details. There you will select "Proceed to Fulfill the Order"
On the next page click "Fulfill Now" which will open the dropdown menu. There you can select the method and add a tracking number before clicking "Fulfill Items"

5. Get Paid
As soon as you mark an order as fulfilled your payment will be process through PayPal. Most payments land in your account within hours but may take as long as 3 days.
Make sure:
- You have a business PayPal account
- You entered your business PayPal account email on the seller dashboard under Profile -> Payment Details
6. Communicate if Needed
If there are delays or issues. The buyers contact info is shown under Order Details to make it quick and easy.
- Let the buyer know about fulfilment delays
- Be clear and professional
Good communication builds repeat customers.
7. Focus on the Experience
A great experience leads to:
- Repeat buyers
- Positive reviews
- More visibility on the marketplace
